Former Hawkeye Weekend Wrap-Up

HawkeyeLocator recaps the weekend, informing lovers of the Black and Gold how their favorite former Hawkeyes performed with their respective professional squads.

Indoor Football League

– Former Iowa wide receiver Clinton Solomon caught seven balls for 76 yards in the Wichita Wild’s 48-44 loss to the Omaha Beef.

Arena Football League

– Former Hawkeye quarterback Brad Banks had a dismal game for the Iowa Barnstormers. Banks completed only 5-of-18 passes for 71 yards, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions. He was ultimately replaced by backup QB Brian Lee-Laduski in the second quarter, and the team suffered its worst loss of the season, 79-27 to the Jacksonville Sharks.

– In other Hawkeye-related news, kicker Kyle Schlicher was released by the Barnstormers on May 11.
