Former Hawkeye Rodell Davis hired at Loyola (Ill.)Posted: April 9, 2011
It didn’t take long for former Hawkeye basketball player Rodell Davis to find another coaching job.
The 1992 Iowa team captain has been hired as an assistant basketball coach at Loyola (Ill.), less than a month after losing his assistant coaching job at Providence after the firing of former head coach Keno Davis.
Rodell Davis is the first assistant hired by new Rambler head coach Porter Moser, who was introduced as the team’s new head coach on April 6.
“He is a true Chicago guy and we have made it a priority to recruit the city and the surrounding area,” Moser told The Daily Herald. “I think he is a great fit here.”
Prior to coaching at Providence, the three-year Hawkeye letterwinner spent one season as an assistant at Drake.
