Brad Banks is on pace for a dazzling inaugural season in the Arena Football League.
The former Hawkeye quarterback earned AFL Player of the Week honors for his Week 4 performance against the San Jose SaberCats on April 1.
Banks set an Iowa Barnstormers franchise record with 10 touchdown passes. He completed 24-of-37 passes for 383 yards and also ran for a score, leading the Barnstormers to a 76-69 road victory.
This is Banks’ first season in the Arena Football League and his first time playing in Iowa since he was a Davey O’Brien Award winning signal caller for the Hawkeyes from 2001-02.
